Chinese New Year Tiger

February 12, 2010 - February 2, 2011

Year of the Tiger meets the Law of Attraction

Rat
RAT: 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008
The first of the Chinese zodiac signs, Rat, like Aries, is enterprising and visionary, putting energy towards goals for the future and attracting friends and cohorts along the way.

The Year of the Tiger
is interesting for Rat and will become very fortuitous if issues and conflicts are dealt with as they arise. Find ways to DEAL WITH things you don't like as opposed to repressing or resisting them. Get a new perspective on how you see yourself, your life and the people in it. 2010 is a fabulous year for new relationship or deeper commitment, especially for those who know themselves and know what they want.

OxOX: 1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009
Steadfast and enduring, this is the sign of power, effort and determination to reach a goal, no matter what. Like the Western Astrology earth sign Taurus, you know how to move mountains, one shovel at a time.

In the year of the Tiger, Ox needs to remember how capable they are! Some months will sail along with a beautiful breeze and others may bring up conflicts IF you are not sure of WHAT YOU WANT. Getting clear about what and who you love will make the difference. When it comes to money, finances and career, you can have what you want when you disappear the party pooper thoughts.

TigerTIGER: 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010
Smart, determined and socially oriented, Tiger relates to the western zodiac sign of Aquarius--the cosmic social worker. Here is an altruistic nature that is interested in the 'big problems' of welfare, justice and world peace. Thriving on unpredictable situations, Tiger doesn't mind a challenge, though their authority is their own.

This is your year, Tiger! You will feel more confident, more optimistic, more generous, more sexy and more bombastic than ever! It feels like a grand year for you where you set your sights high and go for what you want. If you feel like you're being thwarted, or things aren't going like you planned, have a look at were secret payoffs might be holding things up. Unkink the showstoppers and it's full steam ahead.

RabbitRABBIT: 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999
Less competitive than most of the other signs, Rabbit has some of the intuitive, open and artistic qualities of the western zodiac sign of Pisces. Here is the archetype of the peacemaker, a soul not so much interested facing challenges or waging war but more interested in 'going with the flow.' The path of least resistance brings Rabbit to a state of inner tranquility.

How the year of the Tiger unfolds for Rabbit will depend on how you tell your story. If you stop and notice the things that feel loving, creative, powerful and magical, your life will become those things. If you focus on the lack or challenge, it will go that way too. The thing to remember is, you always have a choice. Use 2010 year of the Tiger to make the choices that bring you a sense of peace and well being.

DragonDRAGON: 1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000
Dramatic, creative and keenly extraverted, Dragon shares some of the qualities of the western zodiac sign of Leo. This is a sign full of energy and enthusiasm for new projects and often not too shy to exhibit their wares, creative or otherwise. Dragon's natural state is one confidence and poise and few bulk at being the center of attention.

In the year of the Metal Tiger, you can really excel if your hone your focus in areas that you really enjoy. If you are doing a degree, job or even in a relationship that isn't all it's cracked up to be, you will lose energy and enthusiasm. It might feel like the magic isn't working! But if you are going for what you want, especially academically or learning a new trade or profession, this year will be one of intense focus and success. Relationships may change in the year of the Tiger. You may have to learn how to let go to get what you really want.

SnakeSNAKE: 1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001
The Snake is both philosophical and intuitive, a killer combination when they trust it! Snake shares some of the qualities of the western zodiac sign of Scorpio--seductive, intense, generous to those they love and adept both creatively and intellectually. Also like Scorpio, snakes love their privacy and need a space away from the hub of activity to regenerate and 'collect their thoughts.'

This will be a positive trait for the year of the Tiger as Snake will need to have plenty of 'me' time. In quiet reflection you can sort out any problems much better than in the company of others (which could turn into arguments or debates!) This year will have moments of great success but there will also be times where it will feel like you are on the outside looking in. That's when you need to remember it's an inside job and you are always able to make a choice!

HorseHORSE 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002
Much like the western zodiac sign of Gemini, Horse is intelligent, quick witted, social, gregarious and bursting with energy. They have an open-minded nature that quite naturally can lead them beyond limitations of cultural norms. Friendly and talkative, they are also independent, needing plenty of space and freedom as well as engagement with others.

The year of the Tiger is outstanding for Horse! Everything you have put into motion over the last 6 years will start to take off in ways you hadn't dreamed were possible. The key to maximizing success is to reach out for what (and who) you want, and to not give a rip about what others say. Their judgments are NOT your business and your happiness is not theirs! The more you imagine how you want things to be, the easier it is for them to fall into place so relax, let go and enjoy a fabulous year of joy and success. If you feel you need the extra boost, try these three keys to instant magic!

GoatSHEEP: 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003
Sharing some qualities with the western zodiac sign of Cancer, Sheep loves quietude, connection and intimacy. They are great nurturers and love to be useful. Sheep also love to be among people, especially friends but not in the spotlight or center stage. They prefer to keep a low profile, not needing too much attention going their way. Sheep are known for their artistic abilities as well.

The Year of the Tiger will have some challenges but over all it will feel a lot smoother than the previous year. The key will be in shaking off some old habits from the past. That may not be easy if you were taught from a young age to believe in a particular way but Tiger is a good year to deprogram yourself from those limiting beliefs. This is also an excellent year to examine relationships of all kinds, friends, partners, lovers and business associates. If it feels like 'Play it Again, Sam' you might want to take some steps towards a new tune!

MonkeyMONKEY: 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004
his sign shares some of the intellectual and quick-silver qualities of western astrology's sign of Virgo including a love friends, witty dialog and analytical capabilities. They don't mind lofty challenges and high sighted goals--they actually thrive when they have something to reach for. With a hefty dose of curiosity, Monkey tends to gain a great deal of information in their travels, turning what they learn into knowledge and wisdom that they can share with others.

Traditionally, Tiger is not the easiest of years for Monkey. Luckily though, this is Metal Tiger and that will help. The key is in allowing for whatever feelings you have and not judging them. You may find that others are trying to manipulate you, but awareness and grace can put a stop to that. Keep track of what is your business and your desires and don't mix them up with 'shoulds' or 'have to's'. The goal is to become more of who YOU are, not who they say. Stand your ground with confidence and all will go well--these creative remedies will help!

RoosterROOSTER: 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005
Rooster shares some of the qualities found in the western astrology sign of Sagittarius including ruthless honesty (to your face) wild enthusiasm for a new adventure and a commanding presence. Gregarious to an extreme, they love to be surrounded by friends and admirers, with themselves preferably in the center--spotlight on high beam. There is a spiritual side to rooster as well--their wings symbolic of the link between heaven and earth.

The year of the Tiger is one of competition for you. The good thing about it (besides the challenge) is it helps you weigh up what you really want. If you have strong desires and strong beliefs about a job, career, home or relationship you could be well on track, but sometimes it's possible for desire to become so strong it actually holds you back. Tiger can be frustrating so if things get in a twist, deep breaths, long walks and allow the air to clear. Remember to ask, What would I love next?

DogDOG: 1910, 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 200
Everyone needs at least ONE dog friend in their life! This sign shares some of the qualities of western astrology's sign of Libra--fair, gracious, artistic and willing and able to relate. Dogs enjoy being in partnerships and friendships--they are great listeners and attentive allies. This sign, like the animal it represents, has a wild nature too, one that likes to sniff out fun and excitement, be where the action is and discover new things.

The year of the Tiger is fabulous for Dog! This is by far the most successful year for you so spend some time thinking about how you'd like your life to go. It feels lucky, this year, and you'll have plenty of great choices in home, finance, career and relationship. If you find you aren't in the 90% pack of dogs having a smooth and easy year, it could be time to amp up your self-worth. When you feel you deserve to have what you want, accomplish your goals and enjoy loving relationships, you'll be in alignment to experience them! Remember, Tiger year totally supports the initiation of new projects. Go ahead and launch the next phase of your life!

PigPIG: 1911, 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007
Pig takes pleasure in the 'little things' of taste, touch and visually beauty, smelling the flowers and listening to sweet bird songs. The have a hardworking, ambitions and materialistic side and share some of the qualities of western astrology's Capricorn--pragmatic, earthy, family oriented. They can also be deeply spiritual. More likely to help others than ask for help themselves, Pig is a giver, through and through. Pigs can sometimes indulge in ways that others might find excessive but for this sign it is only an experience of deeply appreciating the object of their fancy.

The year of the Tiger is grand for Pig! There is a lot of creative energy for those in artistic fields and even those with more practical jobs will find their enthusiasm up. Bright ideas come from out of nowhere and you will be honoured and acknowledged for your genius. Travel plans go particularly well and you may find yourself in an airplane or even on a long voyage. If you feel overwhelmed by the possibilities coming your way in 2010, you can support clarity by wiping out wimpy words. Just by using clear, strong and confident language you can enhance your abilities to create whatever you want! And if the idea of travel (or success or relationship) has you a little hesitant, here are some tips on how to change your travel story! It's a great year ahead for you so live it up!
